CONSTRUCTION PROJECT
The Ministry of Compassion and Faith (COMFE) is a non-profit organization founded by Pastors' Elvin and Wendy Cerna of La Entrada de Copan in Honduras, C.A. The ministries main focus is to provide resources and support to underserved communities throughout the region. This ministry is comprised of faithful members who are committed to meeting the needs of those facing poverty. They have congregated as a church in the pastor’s home for over a year and a half now. During this brief period, they have multiplied in numbers and so they have outgrown the limited space. Seating has become a challenge for the pastoral family and those wanting to be a part of what God is doing through the Cerna family. Through their leadership, they have taught the members how to love and serve those in need by actual practice as they visit and serve the families living in the rural mountain areas. Not only do the members give of their personal time, but they also give from their personal supplies and resources, to help these poverty stricken families so that they can overcome their challenges. All they provide to these families is at no cost and no strings attached. Because of their commitment and faithfulness to the people; God moved on the heart of a man (non-member) of the community to gift COMFE a property he owned for many years. The property deed was signed over to the Ministry and given to Pastor Cerna. The icing on the cake was God, moving yet on the heart of another to give over 1000 blocks towards the buildings project. God has rewarded them for all the good they have done in the community and areas nearby. This church has been given the assignment to serve the growing community. Phase 1 is now complete and with a provisional restroom they are now occupying their new space.
The church is now believing God for Phase 2 (the inside), so if you would like to be a part of God's Plan for this congregation, please click the Donate Now button.
