LOVE IN ACTION | PROVIDING A HELPING HAND
TRANSPORTATION NEED
Pastor Selvin, Denia and his beautiful family are from La Golondrina, Azacualpa, a small remote mountain village, from the Department Santa Barbara. He and his wife Denia, shepherd the families in his immediate area and other villages in the mountain region.
For years they have moved about on foot, traveling for hours from location to location in the scorching heat and in the pouring rain, taking the gospel to the people and ministering to their needs. He and his family love The Lord and have a heart for His people. They are true ambassadors for Jesus Christ.
In the short video below, Pastor Selvin expresses his sincere gratitude to Honduran Hearts, and each of you who contributed to their new ministry vehicle. He and his lovely wife are so excited about the idea that they can now transport the entire family and others with greater safety by car to do ministry work and to deliver goods to those in need.
During our April 2023 trip, along with some of the teens and young adults of McConnell Baptist Church, were blessed to visit one of Pastor Selvin's churches located in Piladeros. While there, we witnessed first hand, that the truck is in fact being used as intended to transport his family and members of the community to and from church. What a blessing. Thanks again to all of you who contributed, to help meet this great need.

WATER NEED
The water tank in Campo Alegre is finally finished and the Association and its residents cannot express enough gratitude to all those who contributed to the project. It was a long-awaited dream come true and everyone involved is ecstatic to have a reliable source of water for the 88 plus homes in the village. The water project was made possible through the generous giving of supplies, physical labor, and finances from various organizations, families, and individuals. Everyone's contributions have made an enormous impact on the lives of the residents, both current and future generations, that will last for many years to come. They repeatedly thank everyone who contributed from the bottom of their hearts for your kindness and support. To God be the glory!
For years, this small village has been dealing with a water shortage. For many years, water was distributed every other day, but sometimes the water would not come for two days, leaving the village without water for long periods of time. This caused a great deal of hardship and distress for the villagers, especially those who could not afford to have a water tank to store water for days when the water supply was unreliable. Those who were not able to store water had to go without, which was a difficult situation for many. Campo Alegre has been struggling with the water shortage for years, and it has been a source of great frustration and difficulty for the people who live there.
For the past 15 days, the residents of Campo Alegre have been experiencing non-stop drenching rains that have had a devastating effect on their crop. Many of the surrounding villages have not been so fortunate, and have found themselves without water. However, Campo Alegre has not been affected in the same way, as they have had access to water since the activation of the tank. This has brought a great sense of relief to the community, and the families are overjoyed to have access to water when they need it most. This is proof that with a little bit of planning and preparation, a community can still thrive during difficult times.
Thanks again for being part of this amazing project and for supporting this community in a time of need. You all have made a positive impact on so many lives, and they are deeply grateful for your contributions. Your kindness and generosity has been an inspiration to them. May God bless you for your selfless acts of kindness and may He reward you for all that you have done and will continue to do in the future.
